Morning Skincare Routine for a Youthful Skin

There are many ways to look young and beautiful, but everyone does not have the time and money to spend. Here you will find some basic steps which can be done every day by everyone. Step # 1


Washing your face is the most basic and essential step of any routine. This step will remove oil, dirt, makeup, dead skin cells and other types of pollutants from the skin. Choosing which cleanser or face wash to use can be a little confusing. It is very important that all cleansers must be gentle on skin, cleanse thoroughly and not feel greasy after rinsing and should not over dry. Let us see the different type of cleansers and their benefits so that you can choose the right one for yourself.

Gel Cleansers – They are light weight and in gel like consistency aimed to clean your skin and feel fresh and hydrated. It unclogs pores and removes excess oil and keeps acne at bay. If you have oily or acne prone skin this will be ideal for you.

Foaming Cleansers – This is suitable for oily or combination types of skin as it cleanses your skin thoroughly removing excess oil and makeup and keeps your skin matt for a long time.

Cream Cleansers – They are thick and creamier in texture as it contains moisturizing ingredients. It is ideal for people with normal, dry or sensitive skin.

After washing your face and patting it dry use an alcohol free toner to tone your face. Dampen a cotton ball with the toner and apply it on your face and allow it to dry. Toners are more beneficial for people with oily or acne prone skin but it also benefits other skin types. There are different toners which address every skin types. Toners help in removing the last traces of dirt or grime which are stuck in the pores after you wash your face. They also restore the PH balance of our skin and shrinks pores. Add this step of toning your skin in your daily skin care routine to have a glowing, healthy looking skin.

Vitamin C Serum

Next step after toning your skin is to apply a vitamin C serum. There are many brands in the market for you to choose but remember the bottle should be dark in color because Vitamin C breaks down when it is exposed to light or air, so dark color bottles help maintain its stability. Pump a few drops of serum on your face and pat it all over. Vitamin C helps to fade pigmentation and smoothens the skins surface to reduce dullness, this gives a youthful glow on the skin. It has anti-oxidant properties which helps in skins natural regeneration process. It stimulates collagen production which helps your skin to look younger for longer.

Now comes the most important step that is moisturizing. Use a moisturizer suitable for your skin type. There are different types of moisturizers – gels, creams, lotions, ointments. Select what suits your skin as cream based are for dry skin and gels for oily type. Moisturizing your face every day will help rehydrate your skin and makes it soft and supple. Many of the facial moisturizers contain vitamins and other ingredients which are beneficial and add as a bonus for your skin.

U-V Protection 

The ultra violet radiations causes sun burns, wrinkles, pre mature aging and cancer. There is a need to protect our skin from UV radiations and prevent ourselves from its side effects. A good sun screen blocks the harmful effects of the suns UVA and UVB rays. Look for sunscreens that contain zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to absorb rays and reflect them off the skin. Dermatologists recommend using a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 for everyday use, but if you are exposed to the sun for prolonged hours then opt for a higher SPF.

These are steps that will prep up your skin for the day. If you follow them regularly then you will find a significant improvement in your skin. The order of applying your skin care products is very important to get the best results from your skin care regimen.
